I first worked with Emily on a photoshoot in the fall of 2019, and fell in love with her work and approach to her business right out the gate. Thankfully, I’ve had the opportunity to work with her 5 or 6 times since then, including creating a new logo design for her.
Initial Brand Explorations
Before beginning logo sketches, I wanted to discuss the overall mood she was looking for in her brand, so we developed a mood board that explored color, texture, and character. From there, we were able to discuss how that mood could translate into a logo.
Sketches and Explorations
From the start, Emily knew she wanted a script based logo—something that was polished, but handwritten, and full of personality and movement. We explored several different styles before moving forward with polishing the final version.
Final Logo and Submarks
The easiest logo client I’ve ever had, Emily immediately knew she loved a combination of letters from the first and third options, and gave me a list.
We created black, white, and color variations, along with a textured option for the main logo, and two separate submarks as well. The final look perfectly reflects the character-filled, feminine business she’s built over the last seven years!
