Hand-lettering has been a passion of mine since I first discovered it eight years ago. Practice, study, and my calligraphy work has greatly informed and improved my lettering process, and I really enjoy spending time up close and personal with each individual letter and composition.
While I still love working with simple pen and paper, the iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate are fantastic and efficient tools for making polished lettering in a short(er) amount of time. Each word or phrase brings new ideas along with it, so having a digital platform in which you can quickly test out those ideas, I believe, makes for stronger final pieces.
